Construction Law

Massachusetts Construction Lawyers

The firm’s construction lawyers have handled a number of construction litigation cases, representing both owners as well as contractors. The Boston law firm recently concluded a case involving the right of owners to hold a contractor to its initial estimate of construction costs on an implied warranty theory.  The law firm has handled a number of cases involving alleged violations of the Home Improvement Renovation Act.

Firm partner Stephen Schultz, prior to joining the firm, was the First Assistant Inspector General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In this capacity, he worked regularly with engineers and investigators investigating the potential for bringing civil litigation relating to unsupported change orders and cost overruns on major public construction projects.

If you have a specific question relating to a construction dispute, please contact Mr. Schultz directly by phone or by e-mail at sschultz@engelschultz.com.
