White v. R.M. Packer Co.

The firm represents nine homeowners and businesses on Martha’s Vineyard, sueing four gas stations for price fixing and price gouging on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. In the suit, plaintiffs challenge the decade long practice of charging consumers over  60 cents/gallon more than gasoline  is being charged by stations on Cape Cod, despite the fact that the cost of transporting gasoline to the Island according to the distributors’ records is less than ten cents per gallon. Plaintiffs also challenge the gas stations increasing their profit margins by as much as 35 cents/gallon following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
