Lawless v.
Romanoff, Massachusetts Superior Court
This
was a case brought by a bankruptcy court judge challenging a jury selection
system in which no-one, including judges, was entitled to be excused from
jury duty because of the nature of their employment. Specifically, the
bankruptcy court judge challenged Massachusetts’ authority to summons a
sitting judge to sit on a jury. Mr. Schultz successfully defended the judge’s
challenge to the Massachusetts jury system. If you believe you are involved in a dispute which may need to be litigated, please contact Mr. Schultz directly by phone or by e-mail at sschultz@engelschultz.com. Engel & Schultz, LLP ©
