Michael RoitmanMichael Roitman has been practicing law in Massachusetts for the past twenty-five years. Since 1998, he has held an "Of Counsel" position with the firm of Engel & Schultz, LLP where his practice includes general business litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment litigation, complex civil disputes, legal malpractice and real estate disputes. Over the course of his legal career, Michael Roitman has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts primarily in Massachusetts but also in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island.

Prior to his work at Engel & Schultz, LLP, Michael Roitman held an Of Counsel position with the firm of Shapiro, Haber & Urmy, LLP. He was one of the founders of the firm of Cohn, Roitman & Kelakos which was a seven attorney law firm with a focus in bankruptcy, business reorganization and litigation. Mr. Roitman was responsible for all litigation including actions to set aside fraudulent conveyances and preferences, shareholder disputes, lender liability, legal malpractice and corporate fraud. Michael Roitman was an associate and then a partner with the firm of Fine & Ambrogne where his practice included numerous business disputes, real estate litigation, representation of private special education schools, and international litigation in Geneva, Switzerland. Michael Roitman began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General working in the Criminal Bureau where his duties included investigation and prosecution of mostly white-collar crimes and representation of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Civil Rights, Habeas Corpus, and Sexually Dangerous Person cases.
